Fieni (b. 1993) is a multi-disciplinary creative with a passion for documentary photography, art direction, and visual storytelling. With an educational background in Visual Communication Design (Sarjana Seni) and Cultural Studies (Master of Arts) from SOAS, the University of London, funded by Chevening Awards, Fieni has developed a diverse range of skills in creative direction, photography, and communication work over the past nine years, with a focus on the development, environment, and health sector.
Fieni's work is driven by their deep interest in cultural and global issues. Their master's papers and essays focused on Southeast Asian pop culture, literature, and films, where they analysed social representation in pop culture, space and sense of belonging, and horror as a mode of storytelling. Their artistic vision is grounded in their desire to capture the essence of the world around them through a unique lens. They have a keen eye for detail and an ability to evoke emotion through their work, whether it be through their photography or creative direction. Fieni's passion for visual storytelling has led them to collaborate with a variety of clients and publications in Indonesia and beyond.
